Kia ora,
Welcome to Hounds4Life! Created in 2018, as part of Te Paranui Animal Sanctuary & Permaculture Homestead, H4L! is dedicated to care for retired Greyhounds.
We foster, home-stay, and help to rehome this wonderful breed at the top of the South Island of New Zealand on a 8 acre rural property situated near the Picton Ferry Terminals, the passageway between the North and the South Island.
We currently have room to foster four Greyhounds at our headquarters in Marlborough, plus private foster carers. However, we are in the process of dedicating more space to fostering. We foster our Greyhounds through a New Zealand Adoption Agency Nightrave Greyhounds, who have been rehoming Greyhounds since 2012 and are actually featured in the second episode of our podcast!
With our Hounds4Holidays! program we are giving our customers the freedom to head off on holiday and not be worried about their houndies while they’re away.
We released a podcast series (which you can find in our videos tab) in September of 2019 to raise awareness about what it’s like to live and work with retired ex-racing Greyhounds. We found that when we were considering adopting a Greyhound that there was very limited information in the form of visual content (and entertainment!) so we wanted to allow people the viewing pleasure of watching us interview rehomed Greyhound owners, experts regarding the field of Greys, and so much more!
Please follow and like us on Instagram and Facebook! Watch our podcast series on YouTube and SUBSCRIBE and put the NOTIFICATION bell on to never miss an episode!
Many thanks to our greyt community,
Maia & the Volunteers at H4L! 🐾
